Warder kills man he found in bed with his wife

A love affair turned tragic after a prison warder hacked a man to death in Trans Nzoia County when he found  him in bed with his wife.

The prison warder, based in Kisumu, is said to have arrived home at Maridadi Farm in Sabwani village and found Mr Isaack Awanyi in bed with his wife.

According to Joseph Awanyi, a witness, the warder called his cousin, who is an Administration Police officer, and together they interrogated Mr Isaack Awanyi.

They then allegedly attacked and cut him with a sharp object on the back of the head.

After that, they fled the scene.

“It was around 3am when the officer arrived home and caught the man with his wife. The furious officer locked the door and made a call to his cousin who came and started questioning Mr Awanyi. He then attacked him,” he said.

Mr Awanyi said he reported to Endebess Police Station and officers went to the house and found the man lying in a pool of blood.

He died on the way to the hospital and his body was taken to Kitale District Hospital mortuary.

Kwanza police boss, Mr Alfred Mogere, said a manhunt has been launched to find out the whereabouts of the fugitive officers.
