Rwanda's intelligence chief Karenzi Karake has been arrested in London over war crimes committed during the 1994 genocide.

Reports indicate that he was arrested on Saturday at Heathrow Airport on Saturday and appeared before Westminster Magistrates' Court after being detained under a European Arrest Warrant.
