Hardly a week after police in Nakuru arrested a man posing as a doctor, a second suspect has been intercepted running a clinic in Pangani estate in the town.

Charles Okemwa has been running the St Luke Medicare Centre Nakuru without a licence.

According to Nakuru County Commander Hassan Barua, drugs and syringes found in the man’s clinic had government labels.

The police boss further revealed that Mr Okemwa has been involved in forgery of P3 forms and other medical documents.

“A client agreed to take us to where he had obtained a fake P3 form and that is how we arrested the suspect in his clinic,” said Mr Barua.

Copies of partially completed P3 forms and rubber stamps bearing the names of Nakuru Level Five Hospital were found at the clinic.

Police have launched investigations to determine how long he has been operating the clinic.

In November last year, Directorate of Criminal Investigations officers arrested a woman who had been issuing fake employment letters to desperate youths at the hospital.

Naomi Nyamongo, whose case is pending, is alleged to have posed as a doctor.
