Passenger shoots motorist dead on Kangundo Road

A motorist was shot dead after an argument with two gunmen riding on a motorbike on Nairobi’s Kangundo Road.

Witnesses told the police that the pillion passenger pulled out a gun and shot the motorist after engaging him in an argument.

SHOT DEAD

The incident happened at 9pm on Thursday near Petro City.

“It was reported by members of the public that a driver of a Toyota corolla station wagon has been shot dead by two men on motorbike. It was established that deceased had an argument with the said men and the pillion passenger drew a pistol and shot the victim in the chest. He died on the spot,” according to police.

A spent 9mm cartridge was collected at the scene.

The body, yet to be identified, was transported to Kenyatta University mortuary.

In the city’s Mathare valley, police shot dead three men at around midnight.

Initial reports show the three were part of a four-man gang that had shot and wounded two men during a robbery minutes earlier.

A police report said officers were responding to the robbery when they found the gang.

ROBBERY

A man had called police to say that four gangsters armed with pistols and a rifle had attacked them and escaped with electronic goods.

During the robbery, Mr Josephat Thuo was shot on the right knee while Mr David Muhami was wounded on the face, according to police.

Police said they found two homemade firearms and three bullets on the fallen men.

Also found were stolen electronic goods and a kilogramme of cannabis sativa.

FOUND DEAD

And in the city’s Muthangari estate, a body of a man was found lying in a pool of blood at an unoccupied building off Amboseli Road.

The victim was identified as Paul Sila Musyoki, 35.

Three stones were placed on the head, according to officers who examined the scene.

Police are struggling to establish circumstances of his death.
