Comedian Eric Omondi ends US tour

Comedian Eric Omondi left the United States for Kenya on Tuesday after a tour that saw him perform in 11 States.

His final performance in Lowell, Massachusetts, alongside gospel musician Emmy Kosgei, was part of celebrations to honour elite Kenya runners who participated in the Boston Marathon on Monday. (READ: Jeptoo wins Boston Marathon)

“We love and always yearn for stuff that is authentically Kenyan, including comedy,” said Don Mngola, a Kenyan who lives in Boston.

Jacinta Wairimu, who lives in Seattle, Washington told Nation.co.ke:

“It was the best show since the days of Reddykyulas. I couldn’t get over myself watching him mimic some of our Kenyan politicians.

“How I wish he and other comedians can visit us more often.”

In Minnesota, Omondi joined Kenyans at the monthly “Kenya Night Minnesota” at the Blue Nile Restaurant.

“Thanks to all my supporters in all the States we visited..but above all, I thank God,” he said on his Facebook page.

The tour dubbed ‘Eric Omondi Untamed’by Break Point Entertainment Company saw the comedian tour California, Texas, Maryland, Washington State, Minnesota and Oklahoma.

Other States included New Jersey, Delaware, Kansas, North Carolina and Massachusetts.
