Kenya's acting ambassador to the United States has encouraged the Queens Ministry church, Dallas Chapter, to continue empowering women in the world through their religious teachings.
While meeting the church leaders at Hilton Hotel in Dallas Texas, Ms Jean Kamau assured the Christian ministry that the Kenyan Embassy would support their work.

“The embassy will refer the ministry to relevant government agencies working on economic empowerment,” she added.

The meeting held on May 26 was attended by the President of Queens Ministry USA, Pastor Monica Kangethe, and was aimed at sharing the ministry’s mission and accomplishments in the regions it has presence in and its future goals.

The ambassador urged the ministry to enhance its presence in more cities and work towards rebuilding the woman’s respect and rights by raising self-esteem and harnessing their power.

The Queens ministry has a strong presence in Kenya under Pastor Joan Wairimu and is also present in Seattle, Boston, Houston Texas, Dallas Texas, Delaware, Lancaster PA, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Columbus Ohio, Connecticut, Kansas, and Baltimore, Maryland.

Upcoming chapters include Chicago, Michigan, Indiana and California marking a significant growth of the ministry that was started by Pastor Joan Wairimu in Kenya as a monthly meeting dubbed ‘Queens night’.

EMPOWERING WOMEN
This year, the ministry is looking forward to hosting over 1000 women during the Kansas Queen Night on September 19.

The Dallas Chapter will be hosting a five-kilometre walk in Dallas Texas on August 8 to emulate the example set forth by First Lady Margaret Kenyatta during the London Marathon.
