Ministry ready for KCPE examination

This year’s Kenya Certificate of Primary Education examination materials will be delivered to all sub counties on Thursday and Sunday.

The Kenya National Examination Council (Knec) acting chief executive Mercy Karogo directed all sub county directors of education to make arrangements to collect the exam materials.

“Knec officers delivering the examination materials have been instructed to communicate with respective sub county directors of education to inform them of the exact date of delivery,” Ms Karogo said in a circular.

She said rehearsal for the examination will be conducted on October 30 while the exams will be done between October 31 and November 2.

A total of 1,003,556 candidates have been registered for KCPE exams, which will be done in 28,566 centres.

In the circular, Ms Karogo said all county directors must return candidates’ answer sheets, cartons used during delivery of the examination materials and KCSE oral and practical assessment material between November 3 and November 5.
