Cord demands refund of Anglo Leasing cash

Opposition Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) has demanded a refund of cash already paid to Anglo Leasing related companies.

Cord also wants all civil servants who presided over the Anglo Leasing scam to be prosecuted.

Kenya paid Sh1.4 billion two weeks ago to two Anglo Leasing firms owned by Annure Perrera through a UK law firm.

Speaking at the Cord briefing Tuesday in Nairobi, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga said they want the ruling Jubilee coalition to form a team that would engage them in a structured dialogue in good faith.

He said the coalition would continue holding consultative forums with Kenyans to get their view on critical issues facing the country, including corruption and devolution.
