The crowd disperses after the resolutions were read. Police lobbed teargas at Cord supporters near Parliament buildings. The rest of of the central business district is fairly calm

A reprieve for Cord leaders as the High Court suspends the order issued on Friday stopping them from calling for mass action and requiring them to take personal responsibility. Cord had moved to court earlier Monday on a certificate of urgency seeking to stop the orders.

Earlier on, demonstrators carrying branches and placards went down Moi Avenue through Haile Selassie around 11:30pm, disrupting traffic, and were pursued by security officers. They then proceeded to Uhuru Park and were stopped for a security search but they protested, prompting a brief confrontation.
