The start of voting was delayed in some polling stations across the county due to various reasons.

In Mvita constituency, Mombasa County, there was confusion at Lasco Club polling station after a ballot box was found unsealed.

The presidential ballot box was found with a hole and caused a delay after the voters caused a furor and demanded it to be changed.

Anti-riot police officers were deployed at the centre to restore order.

Delayed of voting at Greenspan polling centre in Embakasi East constituency was been attributed to lack of furniture and tents.

The polling centre is at the parking lot of a mall. IEBC officials have decided to improvise for voting to start and they will use a car wash shed.

Voting was delayed for more than two hours at Kisumu County’s Rabour Primary School polling centre after the electronic kits failed to work.
