Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter has said 40 more MPs have signed the motion to impeach Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru following Tuesday's revelations.

He said 30 of the MPs are from central Kenya and the upper eastern region.

He attributed the support to the new revelations about inflated expenditure at one directorate at the Devolution ministry.

"If by next week Tuesday she has not stepped aside, I'll lead thousands of Kenyans to go and evict her," Mr Keter said.

Mr Keter said his efforts to kick out the CS had been buoyed by the new claims and the support from the MPs, especially those from the central region.

"I don't know what their bosses have advised them, but I know this is a national crisis," said Mr Keter.

He said the apparent corruption at the Devolution ministry is symptomatic of a government that is on a looting spree.

"The President must support us by having Waiguru step aside," said Mr Keter.
