The two died following chaos that erupted after police attempted to block a planned demonstration.

Mr Raila Odinga and other Cord leaders said Mr Nkaissery was wrong to ban the planned demonstration since residents had made their plans known in advance.

The leaders among them Mr Kalonzo Musyoka, Mr James Orengo and Mr Ababu Namwamba gave the ongoing hearing on the controversial security laws a wide berth to attend the proceedings where Narok Senator Stephen ole Ntutu and four MPs were being charged.

The leaders spoke outside the Milimani Law Courts, Nairobi, where hundreds of Narok residents had been camping waiting for the outcome of the case.
Mr Odinga called on Narok residents not to relent in the fight against corruption especially where public resources were involved.

NO RETREAT

“This is a fight that we should not relent on and if we stand united against graft then Kenyans will have succeeded in making Kenya free of corruption,” said the ODM leader, adding that it was wrong for police to use live bullets on demonstrators.

Senator ole Ntutu appealed for calm in Narok but blamed some government officials of sitting on crucial information that would have led to the arrest of corrupt county officials.
