Ford-Kenya on Thursday unveiled the elections committee that will drive the party's nominations.

Party leader Moses Wetang’ula said the board will come up with nomination dates and ensure the primaries deliver credible results.

"We have sworn in the board this morning and they are committed to act in the best interests of the party," said Mr Wetang’ula at the party's headquarters on Ngong Road, Nairobi.

He said the board will be headed by lawyer Grace Katasi.

For her part, Ms Katasi said she was honoured to be part of the team.

"I want to assure you that we will not be working under the influence of anyone. Our elections will be free, fair and independent," she said.

She said the board will announce nomination fees for aspirants seeking to contest on the party’s ticket starting next week.
