The ODM parliamentary nominee for Kisumu Central has cautioned National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale and Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria against "insulting" opposition leader Raila Odinga.

Mr Fred Ouda, the Gem Central MCA, Siaya County, also told the two leaders to accord Mr Odinga, the Nasa presidential candidate and ODM leader, the dignity he deserves.

"Duale and Kuria must respect Raila. Or else I will be coming for you if by any chance you will have yourselves elected again," Mr Ouda told the Nation.

ANTI-IEBC PROTESTS

Mr Ouda has performed stunts as a way of displaying his commitment to a cause.

In 2015, he stripped naked protesting against a tweet allegedly written by Deputy President William Ruto that disparaged Mr Odinga.

The account turned out to be a pseudo one.

During the anti-Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission demonstrations last year, Mr Ouda chained himself to the gate of the agency's Central Nyanza headquarters.

WINNING NOMINATION

The Ward Representative also castigated the teargassing of Mr Odinga and other leaders during the protests.

"Today, I am ready to die at the hands of police. We cannot sit back and watch a man who fought for police reforms suffer in the hands of the same officers," he said then.

In the primary held on May 16, Mr Ouda mustered 6,694 votes to beat incumbent Ken Obura who had 1,040 votes.

Other contestants were Mr Onyango Oloo (4,991 votes), Mr Richard Ogendo (879 votes) and ex-Kisumu Mayor Sam Okello (571 votes).
