GNU urges members to join Uhuru’s party

Grand National Union party is asking its members to join The National Alliance party of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Party leader Mwangi Kiunjuri said he too might join TNA later since he must support President Kenyatta in developing the country.

“It’s clear our dog could not bring anything home after the hunting expedition. We must support the president and governors in their development initiatives. TNA is a good party because it’s the President’s party,” said Mr Kiunjuri.

The former Public Works assistant minister was speaking to teachers, parents and pupils of five different primary schools in Nanyuki town on Friday after donating 5,000 pairs of shoes to pupils and parents.

He was accompanied by Ahadi Kenya chief executive officer Stanley Kamau and the county executive member for Education and ICT Mr John Bosco Akaale.

He said the relationship between TNA and GNU was complimentary and likened it to that of the right and left hand.

“That’s why I am asking you to peep through the window to see how the TNA house is. If it’s good just get in. Kuteleza sio kuanguka. Do not ask where I’ll be. If the TNA house is good I might join you later, who knows?” he said.

Mr Kiunjuri said he would support Laikipia governor Joshua Irungu in his development activities without engaging in politics.

He said he would start by bringing a donor who would give 20 computers to each secondary school in the county through Mr Akaale’s office.
