TIGHT SECURITY

Mr Kenyatta sent Kigumo MP Jamleck Kamau while Mr Ruto dispatched Kericho Senator Charles Keter.

The  two were seen consulting with party polling officials at the Maasai Technical Training Institute  in Kajiado Town which will be the tallying centre.

JAP chairman  Nelson Dzuiya and Secretary-General Veronicah Maina said the party was ready for the poll.

“We will have 57 polling stations,” Mr Dzuiya said.

Security was tight with about 400 anti-riot police officers patrolling areas near the tallying centre and some parts of Kajiado Town.

The four JAP candidate are Anthony Kiroken, Mr Patrick Tutui, Mr Memusi Kanchori and  Ms Joyce Letepan.

Mr Kiroken and Ms Letepan are first timers in politics but Mr Tutui and Mr Memusi  vied for the same seat in the 2013 election.
