Jubilee three join team on transition

Three Jubilee officials have been co-opted into the transition committee ahead of President-elect Uhuru Kenyatta’s April 9 swearing-in.
The three were nominated by Mr Kenyatta in line with the Assumption of Office of the President Act.
Ms Anne Waiguru, Mr Njee Muturi and Mr Bruce Odhiambo join the transition committee chaired by Public Service Head Francis Kimemia.
List of guests
The three will present a list of guests the President-elect and his deputy, Mr William Ruto, want invited. They will also say how the two leaders want the ceremony conducted, including the Kasarani and State House events.
On Wednesday morning, Mr Kenyatta and Mr Ruto will begin a three-day briefing on protocol and procedures.
They will be inducted on their new roles, expectations of their offices and how to present themselves during the swearing in.
They will also be advised on international diplomacy and for Mr Kenyatta, on his role as the Commander-in-Chief.
