Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has presented his presidential nomination papers to the party's national elections board.

Mr Musyoka said this is the first step towards clinching the National Super Alliance (Nasa) presidential ticket.

"Now that I have presented my papers, I feel energised to hit the road and be the Nasa flag bearer," he said.

However, Mr Musyoka said that this does not mean that there is a rift in Nasa but that he has the blessings of his co-principals in the coalition.

"We agreed that everyone who wants to be a candidate must first be endorsed by their parties," he said.

He further added that he is in Nasa to stay.

"You have all seen the chemistry amongst us, so we are [all] together to the end," he said.
