The hearing of a case in which lawyer Kethi Kilonzo is charged with theft of a voter registration card was on Tuesday adjourned to September.

The court was asked to postpone the hearing because her lawyer is travelling out of the country.

The case had been scheduled for a three-day hearing at the chief magistrate’s court in Nairobi.

In the case, Ms Kilonzo is charged with stealing a voter registration document belonging to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.

Chief Magistrate Daniel Ogembo directed the case be heard on September 26 and 27.
