ODM leaders who blew whistles in Parliament during President Kenyatta’s State of the Nation address last Thursday have vowed to use a new movement to push for reforms in the country.

The lawmakers on Sunday said they had formed the “Firimbi movement to awaken Kenyans”.

“He needed to be awakened. They have torn the economy and unity of Kenyans and we can’t accept [that],” he said at United Christian Church in Kawangware, Nairobi.

Other lawmakers at the service were ODM chairman John Mbadi, Ruaraka MP Tom Kajwang’, Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi, Homa Bay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga, Suna East MP Junet Mohammed, Busia Woman Representative Florence Mutua and Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang’.

She faulted National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi’s leadership, accusing him of bias.

“Muturi deserves prayers because he is biased. Why was Wandayi punished yet other MPs have committed worse acts in Parliament?” she posed.
