ODM nominates Moses Kajwang’ to contest Homa Bay Senate seat

ODM National Elections Board (NEB) has nominated Moses Kajwang’ to contest the Homa Bay senatorial seat in the February 15 by-elections.

Mr Kajwang’ is a younger brother to the late Senator Otieno Kajwang’, who passed away in November.

The chairperson of the board Mrs Judy Pareno said the decision to nominate Mr Kajwang’ was made after a survey conducted in Homa Bay.

She said the Board will issue Mr Kajwang’ with the nomination certificate which he will present to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission in January next year.

In a statement, Caroli Omondi has accepted ODM’s decision to nominate Moses Kajwang’ as the party’s candidate for the January by-election.

Mr Omondi said his membership and support to the party will continue.

“Going forward, my membership in, and historical support to ODM will continue. The party rank and file should count on my services and support to the party in the period ahead as we work towards 2017,” he said.
