PM Odinga to meet investors in Malaysia

Prime Minister Raila Odinga is in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for a three-day visit during which he will hold talks with political and business leaders and later receive an honorary degree from a local university.
PM Odinga is in Malaysia at the invitation of the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, which on Saturday will confer him with an honorary Doctorate of Leadership in Societal Development. Read (Malaysian university to honour PM with degree)

He is also scheduled to meet Kenyans living in Malaysia later on Thursday. PM Odinga will also meet heads of African diplomatic missions based in Malaysia.
Limkokwing University of Creative Technology was established in 1991. It has more than 30,000 students from more than 150 countries.

In Africa, it has campuses in Lesotho, Swaziland and Botswana. The university is working on opening a campus in Kenya.

Among outstanding personalities that have received honorary doctorates from the university are Mr Nelson Mandela, former President of South Africa, Mr Festus Mogae, former President of Botswana, Mr Pakalitha Bethuel Mosisili, former Prime Minister of Lesotho, Dr Mahathir Mohamed and Tun Abdul Razak, both former Prime Ministers of Malaysia.
PM Odinga is accompanied by Transport Assistant Minister Ali Hassan Joho.

He was received by Kenya's High Commissioner to Malaysia Mr Samori Okwiya and heads of African diplomatic missions in Kuala Lumpur.

He will leave Malaysia on Saturday for Seoul, Korea, before returning to Nairobi.
