Senate Majority Leader Kithure Kindiki has urged the President to reconsider his appointments of parastatal heads.

The Tharaka Nithi Senator said on Sunday the two appointments from Meru would only entrench a long-standing problem of skewed allocation of resources in the region.

“As leaders from the greater Meru, we express our concern with those appointments and are asking the President to urgently review them and give priority to Tharaka Nithi, Igembe and Nyambene areas,’’ said Prof Kindiki, a TNA senator.

REMAIN IN JUBILEE

He, however, maintained that the region would remain in Jubilee.

Meru leaders are planning to hold a rally at Kinoru Stadium Tuesday to decide the way forward following the latest appointments.

Speaking in Mombasa on Saturday, Igembe South MP Mithika Linturi said the Meru community would hold the rally to make known their displeasure at the appointments of the parastatal heads.
