Nairobi Women’s Representative Rachel Shebesh has finally forgiven Governor Evans Kidero.

While addressing a congregation at the Christian Outreach Church in Mwiki, Nairobi, yesterday, Ms Shebesh said there were no pre-conditions in her move.

“I have forgiven Kidero unconditionally and I am ready to work with him … As women, we have been taught to forgive,” she said

She admitted that her move was as a result of many reconciliatory meetings both the governor and herself attended.

“Many people with good intentions for Nairobi intervened,” she said, with reports that President Kenyatta must have waded into the issue, telling the two to bury the hatchet and focus on the development of the county.

Anglican Church head Eliud Wabukala is one of the mediators who have been trying to reconcile the two.

Brokers had delayed the peace process, she remarked without giving details.

She, at the same time, said the wrangles between them had hampered development in the county, adding that she was tired of the infighting.

“I urge you to pray for him so that he can also soften his heart and accept to reconcile. What I want is to work with the governor and develop Nairobi,” said Ms Shebesh to cheers from the congregation.

The Women Representative sued the governor for the alleged attack during the confrontation.
