President Kenyatta dismissed the new referendum push to amend the constitution by a section of leaders.

"There is no need for some people to call for a referendum at a time when they should explore ways of solving the problems facing the people.

This is not time for politics. It is time to work", said President Kenyatta.

He said the move is bound to impede development in the country and interfere with the constitution that Kenyans voted for.
