Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has said he did not snub a function presided over Deputy President William Ruto in Thika.

Speaking in Gatundu during the opening of a modern bus park, Mr Kabogo said he got an invitation to attend the function late.

Mr Kabogo was accompanied by Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria when he opened the Sh167 million termini in Gatundu.

“People should not read malice in my absence at the DP’s meeting. I would have wanted to join him, but could not fail to attend the Gatundu event which we had planned and postponed several times,” he said.

The Deputy President was in Thika Town constituency on Friday to commission various projects initiated by area MP Alice Ng’ang’a.

Mr Kabogo appealed to MPs from the region to end political feuding and work with the county leadership towards uplifting the lives of Kiambu residents.

“I see no reason why we should be fighting all the time. I am sending my friend Kuria to tell his colleagues to come we work together for the sake of our people,” he said.
