Former TNA Secretary-General Onyango Oloo has cautioned Kenyans against re-electing the Jubilee government.

Mr Oloo, who recently decamped to ODM, said President Uhuru Kenyatta has defrauded Kenyans and is leading a government whose leaders are only driven by self-interest.

"We must register in large numbers and remove the marauding conmen, charlatans and busy bodies that trudge the power corridors," Mr Oloo said during a voter sensitisation drive in Kisumu town on Thursday.

He said: "I dare ask the thieving, corrupt Jubilee mandarins to tell Kenyans how much they need so that we write them cheques for them to leave us in peace [to enable us] reconstruct our lives."

Mr Oloo, who also declared he will contest for the Kisumu Central parliamentary seat currently held by Ken Obura, said Kenyans must use their votes in rising up against the ruling administration.

"We cannot live in perpetual slavery under the fear of conmen and marauding goons masquerading as politicians," he added.

However, he said the National Supper Alliance - the opposition coalition comprising ODM, Ford-Kenya, ANC and Wiper parties - is driven by reformists and he is proud to be part of the team that will improve Kenyans' lives.

Mr Oloo claimed Mr Obura has failed his constituents and ODM's ideals and should not be given a second chance.
