Thirdway Alliance Kenya presidential candidate Ekuru Aukot took his vote hunt to Wajir on Saturday and called on the county's residents to back his bid.

Speaking in Orahey, Dr Aukot asked them to vote for him, saying he understood the problems facing pastoralists better than any of the seven other presidential candidates given his upbringing in Turkana.

“Uhuru Kenyatta was born in an agricultural environment with fewer challenges compared to the challenges being experienced in the pastoral areas and thus has little knowledge of the problems we face as pastoralists,” he said.

The presidential candidate said his administration would solve economic and social injustices in the country by advocating equality in sharing of resources.

He accused National Assembly Majority Leader and Dujis MP Aden Duale of failing to fight for the rights of communities in northeastern Kenya despite holding an influential position in the government.
