Nyokabi Kamau’s piece (Nation, July 27) hit the nail on the head. There is no link between women’s dressing and morality.

There is no excuse for any individual to hide behind “improper “dressing to inflict sexual abuse, worse so rape.

As she pointed out if short dresses were in vogue a few decades back and there were no “outbreaks” of rape, what warrants today’s man to perform these primitive and beastly acts?

Why can’t these deranged men who get aroused on viewing a woman in short dress redirect their focus to their business?

Rapists belong in jail.
