We have, in recent times, witnessed attacks by terror gangs who hurl grenades at people enjoying their day’s achievements at entertainment spots, mostly bars.

Why is it so? Why are bars the main target? At the scene of the most recent grenade attack in Mombasa, I heard some whisper that they hate alcohol.

But I think bars, combined with football fever makes them easy targets. When imbibing a drink and watching a football match, one tends to concentrate a lot on what is happening on the screen.

Football watchers should never converge in large numbers.
