Christian politicians must set standards to avoid being ‘soiled’

Bishop Margaret Wanjiru’s loss of the Starehe seat is an indictment to the Church in Kenya. The question is: Can the Church dabble in politics without soiling itself?
As the Church grows in numbers and influence and hopefully prestige, it needs to spell out what it means to be a Christian politician.
My take is that it is possible to have a Christian politician. This person will need to set the standard instead of the political scene setting standards for him or her. We will need to see Christ in that person.

Now if there ever was an illogical argument, here it is! When did Wanjiru become the church? Wanjiru may have stolen the vote, just like many others in gvt today. She did not deserve the seat. However, the Church lives on. I know it is open season to bash the Xtian faith to appear hip, but we must resist the mob mentality.
