Christian politicians must set standards to avoid being ‘soiled’

Bishop Margaret Wanjiru’s loss of the Starehe seat is an indictment to the Church in Kenya. The question is: Can the Church dabble in politics without soiling itself?

As the Church grows in numbers and influence and hopefully prestige, it needs to spell out what it means to be a Christian politician.

My take is that it is possible to have a Christian politician. This person will need to set the standard instead of the political scene setting standards for him or her. We will need to see Christ in that person.
