Government tarnished its image forever

By secretly inviting Sudan’s President Omar al-Bashir as one of the guests during Kenya’s constitutional rebirth ceremony, the Kenyan Government has tarnished this historic moment — perhaps forever.

Although President Bashir has every right to congregate with fellow heads of State, Kenya should honour the ICC treaty, to which Kenya is a signatory.

Is Kenya trying to fool the world by stating that is has fully committed itself cooperating with the ICC?

This was not the way to usher in the Second Republic. Sneaking in President Bashir through Wilson Airport rather was the height of impunity.
