Hire foreign coach to replace Kimanzi

I agree with John Barasa’s call for the sacking of national football team coach Francis Kimanzi (Daily Nation letters, June 7).

Kenya needs a world class coach to qualify for the next World Cup.

It is worrying that we only managed a draw against Malawi at home. After we are eventually knocked out, you will hear Football Kenya Federation chairman Sam Nyamweya and company calling for a foreign coach but it will be too late.

lf a foreign coach, not Antoine Hey, and youth academies are the solution, what are we waiting for?

If Nyamweya and the Sports minister are serious about improving the standards of soccer in this country, they should act now.
