Husband-beating talk overshadowing reforms

We are never short of fodder for bar banter and FM talk shows. This time, husband bashing has attracted views, with the opinions being as diverse as those giving them.

Some quarters assert that women have mooted a coup and successfully executed it; that all they are doing now is a mopping up operation for any pockets of resistance.

Some argue that girl child’s rights and women crusade have been preached with a ring of rivalry.

I think this whole husband battering madness is being overhyped at the expense of other more important issues like the reform process.
