Moi’s comment against lands nominee shocking
Posted Monday, August 13 2012 at 19:00
That retired president Daniel Moi is opposed to the nomination of Dr Samuel Kipng’etich Tororei to Lands Commission because he is blind and cannot see issues on the ground is shocking and pathetic.
I believe Dr Tororei was short-listed because he was deemed capable, less still because he is a Kalenjin.
It is depressing for a person of Moi’s standing to imagine that public servants exist to serve their communities. This could have been so during his days as President.
Things have radically changed. In any case disability is not inability. We have people with eyes the size of saucers who are myopic in outlook.
