According to the elections 2013 results, the TNA party is poised to have greater control in both senate and parliament.
Still, the issue of nominees begs closer scrutiny.
So far, TNA has made a blunder by appointing the chairman John Sakaja for Senate and Beth Mugo in Parliament.
The appointment of Mrs Mugo, a relative of president-elect Uhuru Kenyatta may work against him when issues of nepotism are raised; she had even announced her intentions to retire from politics.
She should decline the appointment.Mr Sakaja should be left to run the party and make it stronger for 2017 without other obligations.
TNA was not just a pill for winning elections.
