Registration will not get rid of ghost workers

It is absurd that the government can claim not to know its workers.

In the past two years, civil servants have been forced to register afresh twice and now a third time, yet “ghosts” still exist in the civil service payroll.

Some people must be making a killing out of these head-counts, hence the repeats. Truth be told, if there were ghost workers today, there would definitely be ghosts even after the expensive process.

The ghost workers, if any, are created and maintained by the ministries’ personnel and accounts departments.

It defeats logic to blame all civil servants and inconvenience them in futile processes while we know where the truth lies. Just let staff collect their pay in cash then.
