TSC should shape up and pay teachers well

The teachers’ employer, TSC, has advertised more than 11,000 jobs for qualified teachers across the country. This is no doubt a big relief to the thousands of teachers who need these jobs.

What was curiously missing from this advert, though, were words such as “an attractive remuneration package awaits successful candidates”, or better still, “TSC is an equal opportunity employer”

In fact, there was no mention of salary, yet TSC expects hordes of desperate Kenyans will still apply for the vacancies, no matter the pay.

Let TSC shape up and realise that it is not dealing with academic failures.
