Tell women whether the tetanus vaccine will lead to infertility

I am writing in reference to the tetanus vaccine that will be given to women of child-bearing age from October 13 to 19. Being a girl in the age bracket, I would like to know more. Is there is an outbreak of tetanus among women of age 14 to 49 years? Why is it targeting women of reproductive age only?

I have been following closely the debate on the vaccine, particularly its opposition by the Catholic Church. The Ministry of Health has not issued any press briefing about the vaccine. Why are samples not available to anyone who wants to carry out independent tests on the vaccine?

A similar campaign carried out in Mexico, the Philippines and Nicaragua raised issues similar to what the Catholic Church is voicing. The vaccine, it emerged, was laced with Beta Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (b-HCG) that causes infertility.

Concerning the tetanus vaccination campaigns, only women are vaccinated, and only the women between the ages of 15-45. (In Nicaragua the age range was 12-49.) Aren’t men also likely to come into contact with tetanus? And what of children?

Since tetanus vaccinations provide protection for 10 years, why are multiple inoculations called for?

And the WHO has been involved in development of an anti-fertility vaccine using tetanus toxoid as a carrier. Is it fair to subject women to it discreetly?
