We ‘imprison’ children in the name of tuition

I wish to comment on the current debate on the ban of holiday tuition by the Education minister. As a parent I believe tuition denies our children the rest that they need, after all the heavy workload in school.

Some people in support claim leaving their children at home alone will lead to mischief, hence the need to lock them in “prisons” in the name of studies.

Yet it’s by giving your children the freedom that you will know who actually they are.

There are things they don’t do because they are being watched and we think they are angels and as a result fail to put them down for guidance. In a way, we encourage misconduct.
