Who will lead Kenya out of this abyss?
Posted Saturday, October 24 2009 at 14:15
However vehemently the VP may deny it, a Kamba-Kalenjin-Kikuyu “pact” will, by its very definition, be a union against the rest of Kenya. It will be as jingoistic as President Moi’s Kamatusa (Kalenjin-Maasai-Turkana-Samburu) war-formation once upon a time.
Yet these are mere demagogues. They do not aim at real tribal unions. They seek merely to channel ethnic mass psychology into personal political bank accounts in readiness for polling day. Thus, by keeping the engine of tribe revving nonstop, they are the chief enemies of our nation-in-the-making.

Why not meet Njuri Ncheke? What Philip did say was enough for he clearly mentioned Kalonzo Musyoka who publicly in broad day light said what Philp alluded to. It is not everybody´s business to say àll politicians`my countryman you are missled in this.

Philip, congrats for the first time in many months you have not attempted to show your command of the languange, which more often than not makes your leaders loose touch with the message. Two, you seem to have a point. But u have lost it by only taking on a few. What of Raila. In all honesty, is he not a beneficially of tribal politics. The media in kenya is totally biased. Just bcoz we dont hear Railas and co does not mean he is clean. Write as a nationalist bana!

Philip, Your article is right and well informed but deceiving as it seeks to blame only 3 politicians. The topic should be on all our politicians as this is what they do day and night, i.e. pit this community against that one. None of them is clean on this. Why are some trying to meet Njuri Ncheke?

Anyone who wants can run for Presidency - that is not the cause or solution to Kenya problems. The solution will come from the majority of Kenyans choosing the best person for Kenya and not for their tribe. You journalists and the media have the power to build or destroy Kenya and you should take the responsiblity too to guide and educated Kenyans and not dwell on persons who may have paid for you to write about them and for their benefit. Why did you not mention Raila along with the others?
