  • KPA women will take on Storms at 11.00 am while their men counter parts take on Lions at the same venue from 4.30 pm.

All but two of the Kenya Basketball Federation national league matches that were scheduled for Saturday at the Nyayo National Stadium Gymnasium have been moved to Monday.

Kenya Basketball Federation assistant secretary Ambrose Kisoi has said only matches involving Kenya Ports Authority teams will be played at the University of Nairobi grounds.

According to Kisoi, KPA women will take on Storms at 11.00 am while their men counter parts take on Lions at the same venue from 4.30 pm.

"We decided to have the KPA games played as scheduled because of the expenses involved if we were to reschedule or move them to another day because they have to travel back to Mombasa on Monday morning as scheduled," he said.

Kisoi said the gymnasium was still housing ballot boxes which were used for the political parties primaries and appealed to authorities concerned to ensure they are moved out to allow the gymnasium to be used for sports activities.

All the matches that were scheduled for Sunday at Nyayo will now continue as programmed at Upper Hill school grounds.

The highlight of the day will be the match pitting league champions Equity Bank and Kenya Ports Authority women at 1.00pm.
