GSU beat KDF 3-1 (25-18,24-26,27-25 and 25-23) in the men’s final that was officiated by top Kenyan referee, John Odundo, holder of an FIVB Grade B license.

Youthful Prisons needed a fifth set to thwart the opposition of a resurgent KCB side. Prisons prevailed 3-2 (22-25, 25-17, 25-17, 19-265, 15-6).

Prisons had found themselves on the back foot after losing the first set 25-22 set score. But the wardresses displayed great courage to come back to the game. They levelled matters in the subsequent set before taking the lead in the third set.

Former Prisons’ attacker Dorcas Jepleting who crossed over to KenCom House this season played a key role for KCB. But she could not do enough to tame her former employers. Coach Vernon Khainga could only watch his side run out of steam.
