Peroni beat Keringet 5-4.5 to win the Division A Horseman Trophy title at the Samsung Galaxy Nairobi Polo tournament on Sunday.
The three-day event held at Nairobi Polo Club saw Martin Kiaser put up a stellar performance, scoring Peroni’s goals on the last day of the competition. Kiaser found the target in all the chukkas to hand his side victory in a nerve-wrecking contest.

Kaiser replaced Philou Salle who was injured on Saturday after falling awkwardly from his horse.
“We played well. I’m glad I linked well with my team mates. Our good marking helped us beat a good side,” said the 38-year-old Kaiser who played the match riding on a six-year-old horse imported from South Africa.
Kaiser’s second goal was a 30-yard penalty awarded by the umpire Mbu Ngugi after an infringement on Horsey. Keringet endured nervous play in the first two chukkas.
