Kenya Pipeline coach Japheth Munala has backed his charges to pick maximum points from the fourth leg of Kenya Volleyball Federation's women league fixtures which commence on Friday.

Pipeline, who are the competition's defending champions, will face Western Bombers and Kenya Commercial Bank in their two outings at the Nanyuki stadium.

"Those are must win games, but that doesn't necessarily mean the going will be easy." Munala, who doubles up as the national women's team coach explained. He added: "Thankfully, we have our strongest squad available, no player is injured or missing."

Pipeline have already won two of their three outings in the league this season, against Nairobi Water and Mount Kenya University. The other fixture ended in a loss to nemesis Kenya Prisons.

With a full strength squad to choose from, Munala is certain to count on the prowess and experience of captain Triza Atuka, alongside Noel Murambi, Violet Makuto, Monica Biama and veteran setter Janet Wanja to deliver the results.

In other fixtures in the women's league, top of the table Kenya Prisons, who are angling for their first league title in four years, are considered favourites ahead of their assignments against MKU and Nairobi Water.

In the men's league, defending champions Kenya Prisons will confront Kenya Defence Forces in the highlight match this weekend, whilst the competition's past winners General Service Unit will play Western Prisons and Kenya Ports Authority.
