School of Rock outsmarts Wall of Fire at Fillies Guineas

Trainer, Steve Njuguna, sifted mixed blessings from the Fillies Guineas at Ngong on Sunday. His School of Rock (James Muhindi), blasted Wall of Fire (Kelvin Derere), by a good 5.5 lengths while neighbour, Platinum Card (Julie McCann), opted out. She point-blank said 'no way hosay', even to approach the starting stalls.

Newsworthy only made headlines by being withdrawn under veterinary certificate. This is why Derere swapped his moxie for Wall of Fire. Krumkake, Selfie, and, Vash, all from Onesmus Mutua's yard, straggled Indian file as places, not really coping well.

Patsy Sercombe's stable were right there to pocket an early nifty double - Tenby roared home in the Drap D'Or Trophy, and, El Mundo collared an invigorating City of Nairobi Cup.
