The government has met all the World Anti-Doping Agency requirements aimed at eradicating cheating through doping in sports.

Cabinet Secretary for Sports Hassan Wario on Wednesday said that they have formed the Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya (AGAK) and its officials headed by former Permanent Secretary of Sports James Waweru have been gazetted.

Moni Wekesa, who chaired an anti-doping task force appointed by Wario in 2013, makes the five-member body.

Wario was speaking when opening a three-day seminar on doping attended by anti-doping officials from Norway and China and Minister of Sports, National Olympic Committee of Kenya and the Kenya National Sports Council officials.
