With only two legs - tentatively slated for Kisumu and Mombasa Counties - remaining after this weekend’s matches, the results from Eldama Ravine are likely to determine which four teams, in either competitions, qualify for the title deciding play-offs in November.

A total five fixtures are lined up in the women’s  league this weekend, with defending champions Kenya Prisons engagements against Nairobi Water, National Youth Talent Academy (NYTA) and Mount Kenya University (MKU) expected to provide the highlight.

“Playing three matches in one weekend will not be easy, but we have been preparing adequately for the past three weeks. Our players know what is at stake,” Kenya Prisons team manager David Kilundo said on Monday.

Kilundo also confirmed youngsters  Edith Wisa, Joy Lusenaka and Florence Juma are in line to replace three senior players Brackides Agala, Jane Wacu and Mercy Moim, who are currently pursuing professional stints in Europe.

The other eye-catching fixture in the women league will involve Kenya Pipeline against third-placed KCB.
