It is redemption time for Western Bulls when they host Kenya Commercial Bank in one of the Kenya Cup sixth leg matches Saturday at the Kakamega High School grounds.

The Bulls made a fine start to campaign but have lately wobbled with their 5-46 defeat at the hands of Strathmore Leos last weekend in Nairobi coming as a wake up call.

The Bulls were coming from a significant 15-5 victory over Kenya Harlequin, moments after they had stunningly lost to Homeboyz 17-25.

The Bulls that had started off the season well, beating Nondies 19-17 and Mwamba 16-15 must use home ground advantage to chase for bonus points if they want to reach the play-offs.

The Bulls are placed eighth in the league with 12 points while KCB are third on 23.

NONDIES VS STRATHMORE
The Bulls technical director Newton Ong’alo said there is no cause for worry having won three matches and lost two. “The only problem is that we are not piling on bonus points that could make the difference in the second phase,” said Ong’alo. “We must get them either by winning or even when we lose.”

Ong’alo said his boys must redeem themselves after a previous duel against Strathmore where they lost focus and concentration.

“Now that we are at home, we must conjure something for our homes fans and especially against a big team like KCB,” said Ong’alo. “We have beaten three big teams and that gives us enthusiasm and hope that we shall finish in top four.”
